Lazy cheesy fries

Cooking time: 20 mins| 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 portions chips (800-900g)
  • 200 g vegan creme cheese from violife
  • 250 g vegan cheddar from green vie
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (adjust to your taste)
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • A pinch of salt
  • 50 g jalapeños
  • 1 avocado (optional)
  • Vegan creme fraiche (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Deep-fry or bake the chips. I used an air fryer. Salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Prepare a bain marie and melt together the creme cheese, cheddar, chilli flakes, paprika and salt. (In case the cheese is difficult to melt you can add a splash of plant based milk, but it shouldn’t be neccessary).
  3. Chop up the jalapeños.
  4. Put your chips in a bowl, pour the cheese over and sprinkle the jalapeños on top.
  5. Optional: Serve with mashed avocado (or a guacamole if you’re feeling up for it) and vegan creme fraiche.
