Pickled red onion is something you have to do yourself, compared to the store prices, it’s extremely cheap to make. It’s also really easy and lasts forever.
Cooking time: 10 mins|1 big jar
Ingredients:
- 2 big onions
- 3 dl water
- 2 dl sugar
- 1 dl vinegar.
Instructions:
- Heat the ingredients in a pot until the sugar has melted.
- Slice the onion into thin slices, I used a mandolin.
- Put the onion in a resealable jar and pour the pickling mixture into the jar. Allow to cool and put in the fridge.
